“Sweet mother, I cannot weave --/ slender Aphrodite has overcome me/ with longing for a girl.” -Sappho Notes of lush moss, blooming lilac, French lavender, rose, jasmine, mandarin and lemon zest, warm musk, and lily of the valley. One of our few unapologetically floral scents, Sweet Mother was originally part of our Pride collection, but was too beloved to be limited edition. Sappho was an ancient Greek poet, considered by many to have been the first documented lesbian. ("Lesbian" actually comes from the island of her birth, Lesbos.) She was held in high regard during her life, but much of her work has been lost. Our homage to this fragment is beautifully purple-green, with blousy lilac and sprigs of lavender at the forefront, underscored by lush greenery. A warm skin-like musk grounds the fragr
