Christmas Stollen (two variations)

Our Christmas Stollen ("Weihnachtsstollen") is adapted from traditional German recipes to include candied citrus peel, brandy-soaked raisins, and a little sourdough for flavor. The finished loaves get basted with melted butter and dusted with a blanket of organic powdered sugar, and the flavor improves with time.  Available with or without marzipan filling  Ingredients: wheat flour*, butter*, candied citrus peel (lemons, oranges*, cane syrup*), almonds, raisins*, milk*, leaven (wheat flour*, water), sugar*, marzipan [(optional) egg white*, almonds, powdered sugar (sugar*, cornstarch*), almond extract, cream of tartar], brandy, egg yolks*, powdered sugar (sugar*, corn starch*), yeast, lemon zest.  Contains wheat, nuts (almonds), dairy, egg *organic or sustainably produced
