The Swiss-made 849 ballpoint pen has been a classic since 1969 and this mechanical pencil version is just as pleasing. The hexagonal powder-coated aluminum barrel is strong but light and makes for a great everyday writing experience. The soft push button action makes it easy to advance and retract the lead with an eraser under the cap. A flexible clip keeps it securely in place. Measures 5" long x 3/8" diameter. 0.7mm lead, refillable. Made in Switzerland. Japanese lead refills available.
