Limber Caper is a trailing shrub that attracts wildlife, including birds, bees, and butterflies. It is also the larval host for the Florida white and Great Southern White. It will tolerate part shade and loves full sun and dry to very dry conditions once established. This long-lived evergreen perennial blooms at night in spring through summer with showy pinkish to white flowers yielding fruit that can be red, green or white. This plant can be propagated from seed. While it can tolerate occasional/brief inundation from storm surges and some salty wind, but not direct salt spray. Prefers sandy soil in dry sites or coastal hammocks. Suitable in USDA zones 9B, 10A, 10B and 11.
