Square Octagon Die

This die extrudes an octagonal shape with a 5mm wall. It fits in 4" square North Star and TA Metal Works clay extruders. Extrusion Dimensions: The inner width of the extruded shape is 74mm (~2 7/8") and the outer width is 84mm (~3 1/4"). The inner corners of the octagon are rounded to prevent the clay from splitting during extrusion. The low wall around the top of the die prevents clay from oozing out sideways, as sometimes happens with square extruders. Die Dimensions: The die is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 1" tall The corresponding cutter is optional. It can be useful to cut a base that exactly matches the extruded shape. The cutter is 3/4" tall.
