Tst. Melinda Marie 'Blue Sapphire' 4in
A unique Zygopetalum relative. As indicated by the name, this has VERY NEARLY BLUE blooms with impressively cool colored tips and a white center. Attractive foliage and a good option for consistent waterers. Semi-terrestrial, but prefers good drainage. Will not arrive in spike unless specified. ZYGOPETALUM CARE: Potting mix: Fine bark or sphagnum/perlite mix. Repot carefully in Spring every two years before fully pot bound. Light: Bright indirect - medium light. Not picky about window direction if placed within 3 feet. Protect leaves from direct sun exposure. Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is near dry. Somewhat forgiving with short drought periods but prefers not to stay dry. Temp: Intermediate-cool (55F min night, 90F max day). Humidity: 40-70%, tolerant of moderate humidity with adequate watering. Fertilizing: 1/2-1/4 strength urea-free balanced fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Flush the pot once monthly to remove mineral build up
