Origin: Brazil Used part: Stem, Leaf Description: Seven-sangrias, having its scientific name (Cuphea carthagenensis), is a herbaceous class plant and may also be known by other popular names like guanxuma-red, balsamone, chiagari, cuféa or blood-herb. Being native to South America, this plantis slightly branched and is 20 to 60 cm high and can be harvested between December and February. As a characteristic, it has its stalk rough and coated by reddish hairs. Its leaves are green and simple, with its pinkish-purple flowers.
