Seedling Sweet Cherry

Not many folks grow sweet cherries in our climate. Sour cherries are more common. Most folks who grow cherries here (sweet & sour) grow grafted trees. We are beginning to play around with seedling cherries. It is not uncommon to grow peaches and other stone fruit from seed. Unlike apples which are very diverse when grown from seed, peaches typically resemble their parents. Perhaps cherry will be a similar story, or perhaps not. We would love to hear from your experiences! This year we have a handful of cherry seedlings grown from dark sweet cherry seeds.
