Intuition

This elegant, aged shou puerh has reached a point of maturity that has mellowed out any roughness, astringency, or bitterness found in younger sheng puerhs. The tea has been stored in a friend’s collection in the mountains of Gongguan Township in Taiwan, where the high humidity has transformed the tea considerably. It tastes more like an aged sheng puerh from the late 1990’s, and any hint of mustiness washes off after 1-2 steepings. Flavors of hay and winter spice transform into toasted almonds, pie crust, and French bread. Smooth, complex, and patient, we love how this tea changes through many infusions. The energy is our favorite thing about Intuition ⏤ warming, moving, and slightly uplifting. This is a tea to settle into over an unhurried session.
