I’ve been looking for a premium organic Long Jing Green Tea for 15 years. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find as most green teas in this region are grown with chemical fertilizers and pesticides. You can imagine my excitement upon finding one grown in a bio-diverse garden free of any chemicals by people who truly love tea - grown in harmony with nature. That love comes through with Jade Dragon. Pan-roasted by hand, the tea is incredibly fresh (harvested in March 2025), grassy, vegetal, sweet and buttery. The body is round and smooth yielding a tea with strong enlivening Qi. The superior early season first-picking known as Ming Qian or Pre-Qingming requires it be produced from the first spring shoots prior to the Qingming Festival on the 5th of April each year (approximately).
