Ocean Moon

Extremely dark, lusciously flavored, and very patient with brassy, raw-cacao first infusions and plum-dark berry sweetness after a couple steepings. The tannic thickness of Ocean Moon lingers on the palette and fills the whole mouth. The profile is very similar to dark chocolate. This tea is somehow remniscent of nighttime in a fishing village under the full moon- a marine layer quality- something oceanic. Dark, yin, calm, wet, humid nighttime energy. It settles the nervous system with a meditative peacefulness. It's relatively rare to find well-processed shou puerh from real old trees in the shou puerh market. One of the reasons is that it’s not easy to collect enough pure old tree maocha for it. Ming Feng Shan of Yongde County in Southwest Yunnan was chosen for the maocha because the the producers were able to gather enough material from old trees ranging from 150-400 years. The altitude of this old tree tea garden is very high- 2050-2100m, which is significant for Yunnan. The natura
