Cliffs Aglow

16x20 painted on location at Sunset Cliffs.  It’s a bit larger than my typical piece painted on location. The light was something I’ve never experienced before. My easel was placed as I often do, looking into the sun and was a fairly typical sunset. Towards the end, I found I was casting a shadow onto my panel?! I’m embarrassed how long it took me to figure out that the sun was reflecting like a spot light off the the house windows across the street in back of me 😎. You can see in the location pic in the comments how it made my painting glow! Plein air is never dull 😄
