Golden Hour Gladiolus

For a few days during quarantine, I was painting gladiolus over and over again- all different colors, and in different ways. I love to do this with anything I paint, because ideally it allows me to distill the subject down to its essence so that hopefully then I can translate my emotions and hand into its replication. This painting came at the end of that multi-day process. All of the previous work and experimentation worked together to allow these pretty flowers to just come flowing out of my brush.
