Formosa Oolong

Formosa Oolong is a style of dark oolong from Taiwan (formerly known as Formosa). Many Americans enjoy the toasty flavor. This oolong has a nutty aroma with mild peachy notes. It's traditionally made with tea plant stems in Taiwan. Here's a little history - In the 1860s a British entrepreneur named John Dodd started a tea company in Taipei and began exporting Formosa oolong to the rest of the world. This type of oolong is oxidized to about 75%, so it is darker than most other oolongs.
