Unit Price: $5.11/each A hearty bí¢tard made with wheat and rye flours and flax seeds, the crust of this bread has a delightful toasty sweetness. A flavor-packed loaf that looks as good as it tastes. Bobolink's breads are made from regionally-grown organic grains and other local ingredients. They are slow-risen with natural starters (a bit of yeast is added in a few of the styles), and baked in Bobolink's wood-fired oven. The combination of slow fermentation and intense heat during baking gives their breads excellent flavor and an extended shelf-life at room temperature. The Flax Armadillo is made with whole wheat, whole rye, and unbleached wheat flours. Whole soaked flax seeds, starter, and salt complete the list. These loaves are approximately 1.65 lbs each.
