Unit Price: $3.89/each The ciabatta gets its name from an Italian word for 'slipper', which the baked loaves resemble. Makes a fantastic base for any sandwich, and also delicious sliced and toasted. Bobolink's breads are made from regionally-grown organic grains and other local ingredients. They are slow-risen with natural starters (a bit of yeast is added in a few of the styles), and baked in Bobolink's wood-fired oven. The combination of slow fermentation and intense heat during baking gives their breads excellent flavor and an extended shelf-life at room temperature. Made from unbleached organic wheat flour, whole corn, whole oat, starter, salt, and yeast. Each loaf weighs 1 lb. before baking.
