Annual with showy purple flowers. Foliage is aromic when crushed. Can be eaten with taste similar to cultivated sweet basil or lime basil. Listed as endangered by the state of Florida. Used in wildflower gardens and natural landscapes. Reseeds. 3-4 ft tall by 3-4 ft wide. Suitable to grow in: 10A, 10B, 11B Blooms all year in southern Florida. Best planted in full sun, part shade.
