Designed to be “smartly casual”, tucked or untucked, our Century Shirt features a slightly taller than average collar and a longer than usual cuff for a subtly refined look. Back panel seams allow for a more fitted shape, and for alterations that won’t disrupt the print. It’s the result of combining favorite elements from my most loved shirts collected over the years. –J. Our “Kyōsai Crows’ print was designed by DAPPER DAY Founder, Justin J., with 19th-century illustrations by the celebrated (and notorious) Japanese artist Kawanabe Kyōsai 河鍋暁斎 1831-1889. Nicknamed "The Painting Demon" by a mentor, likely for his prolific output – and fondness for sake, he is credited with creating the first manga magazine in 1874.
