Talking Points | Hey, What's Your Shirt Mean?In an everyday sense, being "chosen" means you were picked out. That's pretty special, right? In a Biblical sense, let's start with Matthew 22:14 "for many are called, but few are chosen." Few are chosen, hmm. That makes it even more special, right? But what does it mean when Jesus says few are chosen??? Many are called, in fact we are all called. We are called to hear the good news, belle the good news, and repent. Many refuse the call, and when we refuse the call, we are held responsible for this choice. If we respond to the call sincerely and receive Jesus into our hearts, if we are saved, then we become part of the chosen. Only the chosen will be in the company of Jesus in Heaven eternally. I think an important than to include here is, yes, God does choose us all! We are all picked out.
