The original RD1 unit can be extended beyond oxygen-only (very shallow) depths with the introduction diluent and oxygen distribution systems coupled with pO2 monitoring. This Mod1 diluent upgrade builds upon the ModO+ Diluent MAV (required) configuration, to also allow connection to an air-supplied ADV, and includes a shutoff. WARNING: Do not operate RD1 or any rebreather with a diluent gas without a pO2 monitoring device. Consult your instructor for guidance.
