Sphaeralcea lindheimeri --Woolly Globemallow--

Gorgeous Texas native shrub endemic to the state, has pale green, fuzzy foliage and soft coral blooms all summer and fall. This variety grows in a sprawling clump up to 5' across and around 2' high. Very drought tolerant, poor soil tolerant (actually really loves sandy, well-drained soil) and widely loved by butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Highly recommended! Perennial to 1 - 2 feet, with rounded, ruffly, and lightly fuzzy grey-green leaves. Woolly name comes from the little bundles of ultra-fuzzy buds.
