Jake's

Jake's (also known as Jake's Abbey) was located in a basement (like so many other joints of the era) beneath a restaurant called Stats on Galena Street (now the site of a home furnishings store). It was reportedly was one of John Denver's favorite venues to play in during his time in Aspen, before he got hugely famous. Basically, it was yet another basement spot featuring live music and cheap drinks. We like it for it's simplicity! Who doesn't want to sport a tee with "Jake's" on it!
