Tolima, Colombia: Finca La Leona Caturra Washed

This coffee comes from the Planadas region of South Toljma, Colombia from farmers Laura Enciso and her father, Don Afranio Enciso.Finca La Leona was owned and operated by Don Enciso and his son for years. Together, they improved their crop each year, eventually placing 8th in Colombia’s 2015 Cup of Excellence. Tragically, Don’s son passed away soon after, and due to his grief, he abandoned his farm for 2 years. His daughter, Laura Enciso, refused to let the family’s legacy end there. After years of hard work, she rebuilt Finca La Leona and rekindled his father’s joy of coffee.Currently, Don oversees the work of the field workers, leading their efforts and meeting their needs, while Laura manages the business side and commercial needs of the farm.This coffee is a caturra varietal, which delivers gentle bright acidity and sweetness.
