Feederbrook Farms Entropy DK

Feederbrook Farms Entropy DK

$30.00

If you've ever marveled at the uniquely colorful qualities of handspun yarn, you'll love Entropy DK. Each striping skein is milled, dyed, and spun by Lisa Westra at Feederbrook Farms in Maryland, and the beautiful colorways will have you queuing up new projects right away!  Entropy DK is a 2-ply, DK-weight, BFL yarn. BFL stands for Bluefaced Leicester, a breed of sheep that yields yarn with a squishy, next-to-skin softness that's right up there with merino! BFL yarn does not pill, thanks to its long staple length. Entropy DK is an amazing combination of softness, loft, and durability! Each skein of Entropy DK is named for the randomness of colors as the singles ply together. Therefore, as you knit, the colors will gradually shift and stripe. Please note that skeins in each colorway are similar but not identical and will result in knits with a charming color quality typical of handspun yarn.   Choose your favorite colors and make the Shift or Shiftalong! We love this yarn paired with Kelbourne Woolens Scout or Rowan Felted Tweed to make knits like The Shiftigan or the Pressed Flowers Cowl. And check out our latest Entropy DK project - Andrea Mowry's Traveler Cowl!
