Knit 4: Fixing Mistakes
Fix the mistakes that every new knitter encounters! Learn to pick up dropped stitches, change a knit to a purl, un-knit (we call it “tinking”), and plain ole’ rip back (known as “frogging”). You’ll finish class with a better understanding of how knitted fabric is made and the ability to fix those pesky mistakes! Materials: 50 grams of smooth, light-colored worsted-weight yarn and size 8 needles; size E or F crochet hook. Homework: Cast on 24 stitches and work Stockinette stitch for approximately 4 inches. Keep stitches on the needle and yarn attached to the ball. Skill level: This class is for graduates of Knit 2 and those who are comfortable knitting and purling. Sessions Sundays, January 25 + February 1 from 11:30AM-1PM Sundays, March 1 + 8 from 1:30-3PM
