Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Frey Ranch Distillery in northern Nevada, where Colby and Ashley Frey have transformed their fifth-generation family farm into one of the country’s few true estate distilleries. Their whiskies, grown, distilled, and aged in an oasis of the high desert, capture the essence of their land and climate. Our first Frey Ranch straight rye whiskey was aged for 6 years in a 53-gallon barrel. Made from 100% Frey Ranch-grown winter rye, it has bold aromas of mint chocolate brownies and warm oak. The palate is bright and fresh, with notes of mint chocolate chip ice cream, vanilla, and balanced oak spice. Deep, complex, and full of flavor.
