Graphical Sideboard by Frans Defour
Designed by Belgian maker Frans Defour in the 1970s, this sculptural sideboard reflects a distinctly architectural approach to storage. The façade is composed of rhythmic oak panels arranged in a graphic grid, balanced by a low, grounded stance and restrained proportions. Crafted from oak with veneer, the piece features three cabinet sections. The left cabinet includes two upper drawers lined in green fabric, offering a subtle material contrast within the otherwise disciplined interior. Clean joinery and block-like forms speak to Defour’s interpretation of Brutalist principles—expressive yet controlled. Carefully restored.Vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. *note corner repair and center leg support fix Kindly note that the item is in vintage condition, exhibiting signs of age and wear.
