These forged surface mount strap hinges use thicker 3/8 inch steel to create a heavier hinge with a robust look.  Blacksmith forged with a beeswax finish for a natural iron look to add character to your rustic gates or doors.  They can be maintained over time with a wax/oil product, or allowed to rust for a more rustic appearance.  This style is made with a thicker 5mm steel for a heavier and more robust look.  Forged steel, just over 3/16 inches thick to make a statement and add character to rustic cabinets and doors.  These hinges are sturdy, but they are handmade and are not engineered for large or heavy doors.  Natural iron / steel with a beeswax coating that allows the iron to show its character.  15 inches long, 5mm thick.  Round penny end tip.
