Hand forged surface mount strap hinges with 5mm (just over 3/16 inch) steel. Blacksmith forged with a beeswax finish for a natural iron look to add character to your rustic gates or doors.  Forged spade tip. Thicker steel gives them a robust and rustic look plus additional support for cabinets, gates, and doors.   These surface mount hinges are thicker and sturdy, but not engineered to a specific weight - they are not recommended for very heavy doors or very large doors.  Natural iron finish protected by beeswax for an authentic blacksmith look that shows off the iron. You can maintain the hinges with an oil or wax or allow them develop a patina or rust as desired over time.  The small leaf is approximately 5-1/2 inches x 1-1/2 inches.
