It is flexible and will not crack when the wire is bent. This makes a very strong and durable vinyl coated welded wire mesh - long lasting and rust resistant. It has two layers of protection. The vinyl coating seals the wire from water and other corrosive elements. And a zinc coating protects the underlying mesh. UV inhibitors in the PVC retard degradation from sunlight.
