After a brief stint as a photojournalist, Michael settled in London where he co-founded Aurum Press, an independent publishing house specializing in art and photography and promoted such icons of Swinging London as David Bailey and Helmut Newton. After Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Really Useful Group bought Aurum, Michael went into TV production. He started with short films for Sotheby’s and later, as Global Arts Productions, made award-winning drama, documentaries and children’s films, mostly for BBC TV and ITV.
