The vibrant cover designs of the Rose Chronicles reflect the extravagant Renaissance style of decoration that influenced all corners of life.  This design takes inspiration from a 17th-century binding that contained the Bustan, a significant piece of work by Persian author Saadi Shīrāzī (1210–1291). Originally from Shiraz, Iran, Saadi was renowned as "The Master of Speech" among his fellow Persian scholars, known for his exceptional writing and profound social and ethical values. His literary prowess not only shaped Persian literature but also had a significant impact on the use of the Persian language in everyday life.
