Trawlers on Shem Creek is by award-winning artist Lowry Coe. Located in Mount Pleasant, across the Cooper River from Charleston, Shem Creek was the home to a large fleet of shrimp boats for decades. Their numbers are dwindling now as restaurants and bars take over from the shrimping industry.
