This new old stock, new in box (for Tube Two) sublimely well-matched pair of Sovtek / Reflektor H3B3 fat bottle EL34 / 6CA7 tubes was tested on our Maxi-Matcher 2 tube tester in real world conditions with 400 volts on the plates and a bias of -36 volts. Tube One drew 33.6 milliamps' plate current while Tube Two's was 33.7. Transconductance measured 5550 micromhos for both. (New nominal is within one standard deviation of 5000. I am playing them in my Dynaco ST70 amplifier with The Eagles' seminal "Hotel California" album and they sound terrific.
