Matched Pair Canadian General Electric 12SN7 12SN7GTA Vacuum Tubes Valves Black Plate NOS-Testing
This new old stock-testing matched pair of Canadian GE black, T-plate 12SN7GTA dual triodes was tested on our Hickok 600A for shorts, gas and transconductance. There were no shorts or gas. New/nominal is 2600/2600 and they tested as follows: Tube One: 2600/2600 Tube Two 2700/2700 These tubes have steel support rods; black T plates; rectangle top mica spacers with chevrons; D getters and short bases. Tube One is MISSING ITS CENTERING PIN (see Picture Four) AND HAS BEEN MARKED FOR SAFE AND EASY INSERTION. I am playing them in my Alan Eaton single-ended triode amplifier as I write with Talking Heads' "Fear Of Music" and they sound outstanding. They are dead quiet when the CD player is paused and have excellent frequency response, sound-staging, and bright, forward sound with great bass articulation as well. This amp was designed to use 6SN7s and I do not recommend using 12SN7s! WE HAVE SCORES OF THOUSANDS OF VACUUM TUBES. IF IT'S NOT LISTED, WE MAY HAVE IT. PLEASE ALSO SEE OUT ETSY SISTE
