97 points Jeb Dunnuck  More pure cassis, graphite, chalky minerality, and tobacco leaf notes emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Weitz Vineyard, a rich, concentrated, beautifully balanced yet powerful Cabernet from this estate. I love its purity of fruit, and it has nicely integrated acidity, plenty of tannins, and outstanding length. 97+  (12/2021) 96 points Wine Advocate  Cassis, raspberries and dark chocolate come together to create harmony and complexity on the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Weitz Vineyard. This vineyard, on the eastern edge of the Oakville AVA, has yielded a wine that's full-bodied and maybe just a touch warm, but concentrated, velvety-textured and long. Already approachable, it may not be as long lived as some of Carter's other bottlings, but it's still a gorgeous wine to drink over the next 15 years or so. (JC)  (5/2023)
