Roi Soleil, a tribute to Louis XIV to whom champagne owes its worldwide influence, the Roy Soleil cuvée was created in 2003, imagined by the young team who were beginning to master their talents. Made from Chardonnays from the Grand Cru plots of Mesnil, this cuvée is aged for 6 months in oak barrels (demi-muids) renewed for 1/6 per year and rests in bottle for a minimum of 3 years.    The fine and elegant nose opens with notes of candied fruits (citrus, apricot) and gingerbread. The aromatic development under wood of great finesse gives it a richness of remarkable aromas. The full mouth attack is dominated by ripe citrus fruits. It offers beautiful freshness and a length worthy of the greatest wines. Gonet is one of the most distinguished of the Champagne houses, located in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Cote des Blancs.
