Silver & Chalk

Owing to its status as a precious metal, silver has long been held in reverence. To the modern eye, it represents space and the future - think shining space ships and new technology - but it also has many old fashioned superstitions associated with it. Once thought to be able to detect poison by changing colour when it came into contact with a dangerous substance, silver was historically the primary choice for tableware; a fact which explains the sets of silverware in kitchen drawers even to this day.
