The periodic table was not entirely the work of a single individual. While Dmitri Mendeleev is often credited with its creation in 1869, several other scientists made significant contributions to its development. For example, Julius Lothar Meyer independently published a similar periodic table around the same time as Mendeleev. Furthermore, the layout and organization of the periodic table evolved over time through the efforts of many scientists, refining the arrangement of elements based on their properties and atomic structure.
