Made by the renowned Belgian ceramist Piet Stockmans, the La Mer Coaster is characterized for its exquisite attention to detail and expert handling of its material. Made from porcelain, the coaster is made of a glazed vibrant blue hue, a trademark of the designer. With the intention of designing elements for tabletop settings by paying special attention to chinaware, Piet Stockmans set up Studio Piet Stockmans in 1987. His studio specializes in handcrafted products that are made in small series. Each coaster is sold separately.
