We recorded it buried in the wild forests and hills of Woodstock, New York with Simone Felice – a producer/mountain-wizard we had previously only dreamed of working with. We met via zoom in a car park before we went onstage at a Cornish festival last summer and flew out to start recording only a couple of weeks later. Simone quickly embraced us as his brothers and took us for a ceremonial baptism in the creek that runs alongside the studio. The following days were a whirlwind of noise, laughter and cutting the bullshit till we knew what we were looking for and the mission became clear.
