Honoré Derazey trained in Mirecourt, then worked for various Parisian violin makers, including J.B. Vuillaume between 1830 and 1839. His instruments are made in the style of Vuillaume and are largely Stradivarius copies. He returned to Mirecourt around 1840 to establish his own workshop. This instrument was made in 1855.
