Short for Long Island Electrical Systems, L.I.E.S. Records started as an outlet for the musical output of a close knit group of likeminded producers and artists.  The visceral noise influenced and distinctly lo-fi strain of house and techno quickly found itself on leading a fresh, new charge of avant garde electronica and on the receiving end of critical acclaim.  A range of apparel basics bearing the L.I.E.S. name features graphics utilizing the same underground, consciously lo-fi aesthetic that informs the music of this cutting edge label.
