The original Minox "spy camera" was produced by VEF (Valsts elektrotehniskā fabrika)in Riga, Latvia. Production began in 1937 but moved to Germany after WWII in 1948. During the war, it was used by multiple spy agencies including Axis and Allied Intelligence agents. A later model was used by George Lazenby as "007" in the movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
