The Rotary Screw Air Compressor is the most efficient   choice when considering variable speed applications, for   all types of industries. When compared to a vane type air   compressor, the Rotary Screw does not depend on   centrifugal force to operate the compressor. In fact, a   vane-style compressor depends on high RPM to slide the   cylinder vanes. This means when pump speeds are   dropped, there isn't enough centrifugal force to continue   operating efficiently. A rotating screw model will operate at lower pressures and higher CFM (cubic feet per minute), resulting in more efficiency at higher PSI  ranges up to 232 PSI if needed.
