Due to the natural characteristics of real wood, including knots, grain patterns, color variation, and minor imperfections, Each shelf is one of a kind, no two pieces will be exactly alike. Natural movement of wood over time (expansion or contraction) is normal and not considered a defect. Shelves made from White Oak, Maple, or Walnut should not expect any knots.
