The Redeemers Wall Decal

"You shall not stand idly by while your neighbor's blood is shed." - Vayikra (Leviticus) 19:16  In the language of the Bible, a "goel" ("redeemer") is someone charged with the responsibility of restoring the rights and avenging wrongs done against his kinsman.  In the case of a wrongful death, the term used is "goel hadam," usually translated as "avenger of the blood."  That's pretty hardcore.  And the terminology got us wondering, who were the greatest Avenger-like figures of the Biblical canon?  You can probably see where we're going with this.
