If left untreated It can cause corrosion damage, weaken your sanitizer's ability to keep your spa clean, and cause skin and eye irritation. When alkalinity is balanced correctly, the water will be less likely to cause damage from corrosion or scale. Increase total alkalinity levels Stabilizes pH Acts as a water buffer or "pH buffer" to prevent "pH bounce" How To Use Dosage: Add 1/2 and ounce (1 tablespoon) for every 200 gallons of water to increase total alkalinity 10 ppm.
