Here we have a rare child drawing by listed Minnesota artist John Beauchamp (1925-2019). Nothing like a drawing of the Eiffel tower with planes everywhere. You even have a couple fellas on the ground, one either shooting film or a gun. Not bad for a seven year old on his way to becoming a prominent artist. The Depression Era child drawing comes directly out of the Beauchamp estate, as does the other Beauchamp artwork on the site. Beauchamp didn't sell any of his artwork while he was alive. I feel lucky the opportunity to see inside the artist's formulating mind during the such an infamous time in the history of the US and the world.
