John Lee Hooker was an American blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was born in Mississippi, the son of a sharecropper, and rose to prominence performing an electric guitar-style adaptation of Delta blues. Hooker often incorporated other elements, including talking blues and early North Mississippi Hill country blues. He developed his own driving-rhythm boogie style, distinct from the 1930s-1940s piano-derived boogie-woogie style. Hooker's recording career began in 1948 when his agent placed a demo, made by Hooker, with the Bihari brothers, owners of the Modern Records label. 1 Wandering Blues 2 I'm Gonna Kill That Woman 3 Heart Trouble Blues 4 Don't You Remember Me 5 Slim' Stomp 6 The Numbers 7 Nightmare Blues 8 Moaning Blues 9 Don't Go Baby 10 Thinking Blues 11 Late Last Night 12 Devil's Jump
